Obviously, you would expect me to say MORTON. However I don't think Clydebank (OOPS!), Airdrie Utd, will be a major threat!
I think Hamilton and Alloa will be "in there" at the end of the season, but given the performance of the second division over the last few seasons, ANY team could spring a surprise!
MORTON, Champs, 'STENNY runners up, THAT would do me!

M8_West and Scouse_Tony, nice to see you on the board again! I was thinking of closing this part of the site as the official one is much busier now, but every so often I look in and see 'old friends' such as yourselves. I hope to change this site given time (which I'm going to be short of in the lead up to the new season), to include more archive photographs, old autographs, screensavers and a videogoals/memories section. The official site has taken over most of the purpose of this one, but I reckon it's good to keep it all going....I'd like to see more Warriors' sites, and was saddened by the demise of the old official/unofficial site last season. Anyway, pip pip for now, except, who will be strongest? I reckon it could be Morton given the tremendous support, but who knows in this league?

Airdrie in my opinion will win the league (unfortunately). The chasing pack I expect to be placed as tighly as in previous seasons but I fully expect Morton and the boring tactician Christie and his men to be in with a shout for second spot. I see Forfar as a solid unit but like a few 'other' teams in this league the are unpredictable. If the bridies get off to a fair start they could well challenge. Hamilton would surprise me if they done well due to their financial restraints and consolodation might prove to be their limit. The smokies I know little about but I've heard they've signed a few good players so who knows? Berwick could struggle big-time and I feel they'll be joined by The Warriors in Division 3 next season. The dark horse of the division is Dumbarton. They finished last season on a high, have an industrious squad and a manager in Fairley who knows what he's doing. Finally (I think) East Fife who The Maroon Platoon play on the opening day. They'll be at the wrong end of the table but will survive and could in a year or two go on to better things. The only thing that remains is to wish The Warriors all the best for the season and to get behind the excellent management of John and Andy who with a bit of luck can steer us away from the drop zone. 'Let the beatings begin'. dac.

With reference to the Steny 'fan' who reckoned they would finish 2nd. Sober up! The early signs of depression can be setting unrealistic goals and I'm sure I'll hear all the usual pre-season shite shortly and I quote, " I'm backing Steny to win the league, I wonder what price you'll get for them". Then with half a dozen games of the season to go the same idealists are settling for 8th in the league. So wake up and realize our potential in the short term please. There's nothing wrong with ambition but obviously this will take time with the guidance of John & Andy. In my position of drug teaster may I advise you to go to your local GP as hallucinogenic drugs can lead to mental disorder. dac.

Darren, as far as your predictions for the following season goes I don't think we'll differ on much but obviously my football knowledge is greater than yours and I know my subject matter better than you. In reverse order, I think it will be a 4-way tussle in the drop zone between Stenie, East Fife, Berwick and Forfar with Berwick and the 'Fifers' losing oot. Stenie WILL survive due to McVeigh's ability to get the players to literally fight for every point and I think Ray Stewart is that much of a madman Forfar players dare not go down (keep the pschopath away from baseball bats or heavy objects that can be swung around his head, hang the DJ Ray). As for the mid-section, I'm finding it difficult to predict due to the tightness of the league. However, Hamilton, Dumbarton and Arbroath will compete for the middle of the table with Stenie and Forfar maybe creeping in there. As for the top spot, I think the Airdrie 'beggers', the rejuvenated and waking sleeping giant Morton (they just have to get away from that festering sore) and finally the team led by the duffle coat wearing PORG Christie (I'll play ma bhoy even when he's rubbish according to Wullie Irvine) will fight it out at the top. Predicting Alloa goes against my better judgement but as the end of last season showed when he allowed his players to go over the halfway line they actually started to win games. Dear Mr. Houlier of the lower leagues in Scotland, you've got to score goals to win games. Anyway that's my predictions and if you disagree with me yera buncha bams. Now on yer way. Mark dela Fraser.
