Hi there, first of all I'd like to welcome all the Morton fans that have found their way over to our little place on the Net.
Ok, so the Fergusson incident was bad but unfortunatly these things happen in football to every team and they will continue. We've had things like that happen to us too and it hurts.
The thing I like about being a Stennie fan is the fact that the fans of teams in our division don't just support our team because of religion or because all their mates do or because the team is winning everything. We are the people who travel for hours to get to places like Montrose or Brechin, just to stand on the terracing among the few fans that also make the journey. These people are the "Real fans".
Morton fans, It's maybe a cliche but take every game as it comes because in your next match you will have other decisions which will anger you and you'll forget the Stennie match and the Ferguson incident. The thing we don't need is bad blood between us because that's not what we are about, we'll leave that to the bigots.
At the end of the season I'll be happy enough if Morton get promoted but only if we are above them :-)
Brian
P.S. to set the record straight, Duncan Ferguson was not jailed because of 1 incident in a football match, he was jailed as he was on probation for beating other people up off a football pitch.

Well said.
So, back to The Warriors. I've heard it on the grapevine that JB's first signing could very well be Willie Irvine of Alloa. Not exactly one for the future but could be a good addition to the squad. Mind you, seeing as he is a prison officer maybe Fergie had better watch out if the Ton fans get their way !!

Yikes, someone agreeing with something I said..haha?
As for Willie Irvine, he might get some goals but what we really need is a striker who can get 20 goals a season, problem is that if we get one of these it's never long before he's sold on to a bigger club and usually for less money than he's worth.
The squad we have right now is a good one and I was hoping that if he finds the need to sign new players they would be for the future, not just one season which Irvine would be, and I think he misses midweek games because of his work which is not ideal.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

First of all, thank you for your welcome.
Second of all, yes the Ferguson "incident" WAS bad, but if a MORTON player had done what he did I would not try to defend him or try to justify his actions by "it happens".
Yes, supporting teams such as MORTON and Stenny is more about supporting the TEAM rather than the religion but the fact that Ferguson put one of our best players out for at least six weeks has nothing to do with biggotry, it has more to do with THUGGERY!
Let's change the subject, Ooops, sorry, let's not, only one subject per internet user and we all know that all the 'Ton fans post from the same computer, don't we? So why bother?
